About Us

Troop 612 is one of the oldest Scouts BSA Troops of the Tres Ranchos District which is part of the Golden Gate Area Council. We have been chartered with St Felicitas Catholic Church.Troop 2612 was formed in 2019 as a Scouts BSA Troop for girls. It is very active, and growing.

Our Troops meets every Tuesday at 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Felicitas Catholic School 1650 Manor Blvd, San Leandro, CA 94579

Each month is the Patrol Leaders Council meets, where the troop youth leadership meet to plan the next month’s activities.

The first Monday of every month is the Parent/Leader meeting at 7:00 p.m. online. This meeting is open to all parents, and discusses the business of the troops, fundraising, reviews the program of the troops, and assists the Scoutmasters and program staff as needed.

The Troop is divided into patrols of 5 to 10 Scouts. The Leadership Corps are the experienced, older and trained Scouts of the Troop. The other Patrols are made up of Scouts who are of similar ages, and who are working on the same ranks.

This is a Scout run troop. The Scouts plan and execute their own program. The more experienced Scouts are expected to train and help the new Scouts. The adult Scouters and parents provide support and guidance, but the program is decided and carried out by the Scouts.

Troops 612 & 2612 have a year round outings program. Most months have an overnight campout, other months will have a troop hike, bike ride, or other activity. Each year the troops attends a week long summer camp. In addition Scouts attend other Scout activities and camping opportunities that are provided by the local council, and various national Scouting programs. This outdoor centered program helps to keep all the Scouts active in the Troops, and provides the Scouts with a opportunity for fun, new skills and advancement.
