We’re coming up on the month of October and Troops 612 and 2612 have a rollicking campout planned.

We’re going to kick off our campout with some good old rank advancement to help our Scouts achieve that ultimate goal of Eagle. After some virtual sign-offs we’re going to have a long-distance cooking competition where Scouts come to the campout with their dish made and ready for the description of the tasting.

After the food judging Scouts will get to practice their thespian skills, with skits! Each patrol will come to the meeting with a skit rehearsed to try to knock their fellow Scouts’ socks off. With a bit more advancement to put Scouts to sleep the campout will be over for youth to go to bed, (or more accurately, sleeping bag), and sleep soundly, or not, all night.
