Alejandro’s Eagle Project

Every scout who earns their Eagle rank must include a service project as part of their requirements.  The troop was lucky enough to be able to assist with Alejandro’s project which was a beautification of the San Lorenzo Community Church grounds.

Here, the scouts are laying the watering lines and plantings as the final step in the project.  The previous week, Alejandro and his team of volunteers laid the gravel bed and landscape fabric.

Scouting For Food

Scouting for Food is the Boy Scout’s annual good turn, collecting food for the Alameda Food bank and the San Lorenzo Family Help Center which serves over 3000 local families in the San Lorenzo, Ashland, and Cherryland area.

This year we are also collecting Jackets and Sweaters for distribution to those who have need.

We have two dates

  • Saturday, Nov 3rd, 8:30 – 11:30.  Distribution of flyers and bags.
  • Saturday, Nov 10th, 8:30 – 11:30 Collection of food and garments.  They will be sorted, counted, and delivered to the SFBAC collection sites, and the San Lorenzo Family Help Center.

Scouts should be in full uniform.
Parents are needed to drive and provide oversight for the Scouts.
