Youth Protection Training

MyScouting.org

In order that all Scouts are safe in the Scouting program, all registered leaders are required to take Youth Protection Training every two years.   All parents and other adults are also encouraged to take the training as well in order to understand why the BSA program takes the steps needed to protect our youth.

These actions also protect the Scout Leaders and adults from unwarranted accusations.

  • Registering and entering the BSA training portal via MyScouting.org
  • Click Menu in the upper left of the screen.
  • Select My Training to transition to your training page.
  • In the Youth Protection Training Certification row, click Take Course
  • This will open a new window in the Scouting U website for Youth Protection – Y01
  • Click the Youth Protection Training – MANDATORY link.
  • There are several parts to the training, and the website will remember each page you complete.
  • When you have completed the entire Youth Protection Training, please print out the completion certificate and bring it to the Troop Meeting and turn it into our Committee Chair.
  • The certificate is specifically required of all adults attending summer camp.
